How I imagine Rogue and Deathbit's initial meeting: (Script written July 25th, 2026.) No AI slop. [ROGUE narrating]: "The one moment of clarity I've had since Remy's death...was seeing him again, face to face." [FLASHBACK]: Rogue appears poised in the midst of a fight, and then lays her eyes upon her late lover. Her eyes widen, her guard dropping. Her expression is tinged with both horror and confusion. She disregards her commrades in order to pursue him, however... [ROGUE]: "Jean telepathically probed me, talked to me." [JEAN, flashback]: "Rogue, you must listen to me. That thing is not Gambit...he's one of Apocalypse's Horsemen." [ROGUE]: "All that mattered to me right there and then was seein' my man again. I powered through the lot of 'em, all that commotion. I found my man, and...I collapsed to that floor." [ROGUE smiles sorrow-fully.] "Through the waterworks came my apology." [FLASHBACK]: Rogue grabbed at Gambit's trenchcoat, then her forehead came to rest on his shins. Gambit reached down, gently touching her lower jaw. A loving smile crossed her face, as she believed he had been forgiving her. However, he yanked her upward, hoisting her now by the throat. She grabbed at his forearm with an new-found intensity. She appeared betrayed, heartbroken, even. She grabbed at one of her gloves, sliding it off. She touched his skin--it was cold, but she could sense a tremendous pain attached to him. [ROGUE]: "It wasn't a mystery, why he radiated pain. He was Apocalypse's slave, now, but then? Genosha?" [ROGUE exhales.] "I...just froze up, even though he let me go...the realization was a burden." [ROGUE, flashback]: "Sugah?" She watched Gambit, how he had so easily discarded her, left her sitting on the floor in a pool of contemplation. She couldn't bear it. She gathered her senses and was able to rise. She grabbed him by the collar of his coat. "Shugah? Look at me, please." He grabbed her forearm, in turn, beginning to charge it. A voice mingled within her other thoughts, murmuring, "Bringer of Death..." She narrowed her eyes. "You're not Apocalypse. C'mon, snap out of it." She pried his hand off of her arm. [ROGUE]: He acted no different than a zombie. Until he knocked me half-way to Sunday.
